20mm LED Large Screen Delivers Quality on Par with New Stadium.

Norwalk, CT (October 14, 2010) – Students and fans in Leavenworth, Kansas will have a better experience at football and soccer games this year with the construction of a new athletic complex featuring a Fair-Play by Trans-Lux high resolution outdoor LED display board. The 20mm LED Large Screen System is a prized feature of the state-of-the-art Leavenworth District Activities Complex and will serve the school’s athletic teams well into the future.

“We are pleased to bring our cutting edge LED display technology to such a splendid new stadium,” said Jeff Reeser, National Sales Manager, Fair-Play. “This new facility and the Leavenworth fans deserve a great viewing experience, and with the Fair-Play board they’ll be getting just that.”

Situated behind Leavenworth High School, the new facility is home to the Leavenworth Pioneers football and soccer teams. Sponsorship advertising on thebFair-Play LED Board, which measures 112 x 224 pixels, helped to finance the purchase. Athco, a Kansas City-based authorized Fair-Play by Trans-Lux reseller installed the board.

The 20mm display features a brightness level of 6,000 nits (candela per square meter), which allows the display images to remain clearly visible even with direct sunlight on the screen. For night games, the board’s contrast ratio of 1500:1 helps to ensure that even the darkest images will be clearly visible to the fans. Along with the display’s advanced LED technology and high resolution capability, the 20mm pixel pitch design allows for viewing from the entire length of the football field, with a viewing angle of 110°.

The Fair-Play 20mm video board is UL/CE listed and complements Trans-Lux’s complete line of LED board, information displays and scoreboard systems.
